Outtakes II

While Evgeny is still working on new music, he has decided to share some treasures from his vault. At this critical juncture in his life and in his artistic career (when is an artist NOT at a crossroads?), Evgeny has gained inspiration from looking back at his old recording sessions. In the process, he discovered some treasures and has decided to release them to the world as Outtakes II.

Evgeny has also decided to record his version of the Turkish folk song “Uzun Ince” as a thank you to his Turkish fans who have supported him so enthusiastically over the past years. Uzun Ince translates roughly to “Long Narrow Road” and this title, in addition to the melody, really speaks to Evgeny at this moment. These words have multiple layers for Evgeny, including:
– A symbol of all the roads driven while on tour in Turkey, when he is often in a van of some kind
– The path his career has taken that has brought him to this moment, and how grateful he is that this path has revealed itself to him and how grateful he is for all the adventures he has had thus far
– The acknowledgement that a new era of his career is starting, and he is at the start of this new road
